I love how one piece of clothing or an accessory, shoes in this case can be worn in totally different ways. You don't need to have a room full of shoes or clothing to create different and unique looks. It's all about taking one piece and using it in multiple different outfits. I'm all about remixing my clothing and accessories to make the most out of my wardrobe

In this | ways to wear | series i wanted to show you how to style a simple black pair of booties, which are super on trend right now, two totally different ways. A casual look as you see here, and a more dressy (/casual?) look will be up tomorrow.

I initially fell in love with this pair of booties because of the red detailing on the back zipper. It adds a little something extra to them. Once i tried them on i fell even more in love with them, the heel is the perfect height, and they are super comfortable. Last but not least they were only 22 bucks! (with the promotion, and Target Cartwheel app) These were free for me as they were a birthday gift from my momma, but i just wanted to share with you how good of a deal they were :)

With this look, as i said i wanted to take the booties in a more casual direction. I paired them with my dark semi acid wash skinnies, and my new favorite plaid button up ( i am IN LOVE with this sequin collar, so good! ) from Target. I added minimal accessories, a pair of gold hoop earrings, nothing to take away from the sequin collar, and a few gold bracelets ( arm candy. duh. ). And to top it off one of my fav purses form last season, my Cynthia Rowley bowling bag (that's what I've heard a few people call it. I'll just go with it).

A simple, casual, non fussy, perfect way to style a pair of booties.

Happy Monday!
