Dress - Old Navy ($15 in store)
Belt - Betsey Johnson (thrifted for $3)
Heels - Sam & Libby for Target ($27 in store)
Clutch - TJMaxx ($40)
In yesterday's post I showed you how to style this dress in a casual way. Today I'm showing you how to style it in the complete opposite direction. Dressy! I was actually surprised by how easy it was to create both of these looks using the same dress. I've said it before and I will continue to point out that when you are on a budget it is the best thing to have pieces in your wardrobe that can easily transition from different looks and into different seasons. I purchased this dress the same day and have already worn it about 20 times :) As I mentioned yesterday this dress was only $15 during an in-store promotion. I just couldn't pass it up. I knew I would be able to wear it multiple ways throughout the spring and summer, and even take it into the fall with booties and a leather jacket. Since stripes are sometimes hard to wear and some women shy away from them, it's important for the dress to have shape. The shape of the dress without a belt is already super flattering but for this look I wanted to create even more of an hour glass shape. The studded belt added some edge and gave me that curvy figure I love. I topped it off with my spiked ankle strap heels, and a pop of neon pink with the clutch.
Do you have any pieces in your wardrobe that are easily transitioned into different looks? If not what are some pieces you would like to purchase?
Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!
